It's the same with and without the scale effect actually

Only the mylist tab is smoother

Compared to home and scheduled anime tab

mylist & schedule don't have slideshow, thats why it feels smoother

AniList slideshow have youtube/trailer handler, maybe it was the one that make it slower. rather than disable Anilist slideshow, can you try disable the trailer?

Try clearing caches if the dosent work turn of “Progressive Cache” in setting lmk if that help

Hey folk, new here so thanks for having me. I have a question or 2 in regards to this app/service.

Im assuming its only available as an apk? No ipa yet?

Is the “nightly” version a beta version of the app? Would any of you recommend it over the “stable” version?

Yes app is only APK, no IPA for IOS users. It is optimized for AndroidTV, GoogleTV, and Firestick. You can use it on android phone and tablet too but with UI limitation because touch control has not been added yet.

Yes Nightly is the beta version release. And it’s really up to you if you want to update nightly. I like always updating to the newest nightly to see and test new features or in case source encryption changes. But it just preference

Yes you should manually update it, because it potentially have a problem (i still try to prevent major problem). But don't worry, you can rollback anytime on nightly without losing any data.

Can you make all these ones like this a bit bigger it was fine before it was changed for me

Before is using android/fireos dialog without any ability to add formatted items.
Current font is as big as settings items actually. If you want bigger again, try the largest font size, it should also make it bigger

I noticed on the home page with the latest dub section. You can see on the icon how many episodes are captions and how many are dub. However once I added to my list I am unable to see that info or at least I don't know how to find it

For example Boruto only had up to 155 dubs few months ago I want to see quickly on the my list screen how many are now dub

Not sure if you can at the moment, when you add it to my list the symbol show the last episode watched rather than how many there are. Its an extra step but if you play the anime you are wanting to watch, when the episode it playing press down to episodes and all the episodes availible will appear and if there is dub it will have the mic symbol on it. If it does not its only sub

Amarullz fixed the watchlist issue so it auto set to 1 episode watched when added to watchlist now and updated when video are played

Dub episode icon is not available as of now on watchlists

This is limitation of system. because when you add it to watchlist app only save url, thumbnails url, title and last ep watched.

The next time it load the list, an app only showing what it save without requesting anything to source. it will only request something after you click it, that's why an app cannot show an updated info / latest available ep on the list.

Q: Why not request updated data before showing the list?

A: Because it need many parallel request to source server, and source will think we do the DDOS to them, and block our IP.


An app doesn't use any server/backend or middle man between your device and source server, so I cannot do something like cross checking in database, indexing, listings, sorting and other cool things. everything should loaded directly into the source via http requests.

But the good thing is, it is so transparent, no downtime (except source server downtime ofc) and cannot be taken down after you install it 👌
